Sniffing Helium Leak Detector
Phoenix Industry solutions ( PIS ) offers low cost Sniffing Helium Leak Detector ( HLTS ) which is used to Test the Job with volume ranging from 0.001 m3 to 1 m3 gas at pressure ranging to 3000 PSIG.
HLTS is specially designed for sniffing leak test applications for high volume jobs, such as HT switchgears testing, SF6 gas filled EHT transmission devices and other high volume helium filling applications
The HLTS comes with optional Recovery System HHRS to recycle the expensive Helium Gas for the Leak Testing
The HLTS system has sensitivity from 1x 10-3 mbarltrsec-1 to 1 x 10-7 mbarltrsec-1

The HLTS is a complete standalone unit which use the Helium gas required for various leak testing applications. The system comprises of Helium Charger, Receiver evacuation system Helium compression system mass spectrometer instrumentation and control system.

The HLTS works in Test & Recovery Mode.
In Test mode the system first evacuates the Job to ensure that there is no impurities left over. Helium gas is then fed to the test job as per the required Test pressures & volumes. The discharge of Helium gas is automatically controlled through precise instrumentation & controls. Leak Testing is done using the Sniffer unit at potential leakage area. IN case if leakage the Sniffing unit will send Alarm signals indicating Leakage beyond threshold set.
In the Recovery mode the Helium gas is recovered after finish of Test time. The recovery can take place Online OR Offline depending upon the Test cycle time requirement. A high production line would require Online System where the recovery will happen at the background while the Tests are going on. The recovery time depends upon the Test job volume, pressure etc.
The lost Helium is automatically replenished through the automated control system.
